Day 2 HCMC-DALAT

Today, we're travelling to Dalat, meaning "river of the Lat people" located
at the south central highlands of Vietnam. It is also know as "honeymoon
city" as the local will come here for their honeymoon. It's also know as
"flower city" and "Le Petit Paris" the little Paris.
After checking out of the hotel and walk over to The Sinh Tourist
to take a bus. It's just behind where we stay. The bus ticket cost us about
USD$8 each. We book on line and just go to the office to pick up the bus
ticket on the 1st day when we reach HCMC. If you're daring enough, you
can just buy the ticket when you're there.
The Sinh Tourist
The Sinh Tourist address is 246-248 De Tham in the backpackers
district. Be careful with fake Sinh Cafe around backpacker area.
Complimentary from Sinh Tourist

It was a long 8 hours of bus journey with 1 toilet break and 1 lunch break. Some
part of the road is bumpy. It's was a journey that we've much fellowship with the
Zzzz... monster. Ha..Ha..
Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight from HCMC to Dalat, about 1 hour
journey.
Dalat Du Parc Hotel
The Sinh Tourist bus drop us at their office when we reach Dalat. At their office,
they do provide services like hotel booking, tour package etc.. And you will also
see some easyriders outside the office trying to sell their service to you.

We took a cab to our hotel. The Dalat Du Parc Hotel is a boutique hotel, graced
with elegant decor, high ceilings, reverent wooden floors.
Ancient elevator
I love this elevator, I just feel that I'm transport back in time and the reason
why I choose this hotel. And this hotel is away from the busy road but it's
convenient enough for us to walk to the city center.

Room menu
I like this room service menu design, so cool.
Student in dalat
After we put down our luggage, we went out to walk around the city center.
On our way out, we saw this group of student. The school is just near by our
hotel, if not we won't get to see them in such a huge group of student after school.

Dalat Cathedral
The Dalat Cathedral (located on Tran Phu Road) is just beside our hotel. It's
built between 1931 and 1942, used by the French. The cathedral looks like a
European cathedral from the Middle Ages with its many stained glass windows
and 47m tower.
Dalat Telecommunication Tower
Opposite our hotel is this Dalat Telecommunication Tower. One of the
landmark of Dalat. Does this look like Eiffel tower?

"HS, what is so enchanting to you?"
Xuan Huong Lake
"Oh, HS is looking at the Xuan Huong Lake(春香湖)which is located at the
city center of Dalat. It look like a crescent moon when you look from above.
The lake is for people from both inside and outside of the city to meet, talk
and fall in love,  therefore it's also call the lover lake(情人湖).

Along the lake, we see a lot of such stall.
